Part Time Pediatric Occupational Therapist, East Bay, CA

We are excited to welcome resourceful and creative Occupational Therapists to join our team in supporting Bay Area families and children! Live Oak Kids is a pediatric mobile practice, offering dynamic and strengths based early intervention OT services. We are looking for dedicated OT's to join our team who are ready to make a difference while growing their clinical skills in early intervention and nature based niches.

Pediatric OT's who enjoy working with (and learning about) a neurosequential model, sensory processing, reflex integration and social emotional skills

OT's trained in or familiar with (or interested in learning): DIR/Floortime, Astronaut Protocol, SI, strengths based/neuroaffirming practices

​Requirements:​

Must have a car for driving to/from locations within the East Bay
-
Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs, hike/be active, carry supplies to/from sessions

Current California OT license
-
Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatrics preferred
-
CPR/First Aid certified
-
Availability for some after school sessions and/or Saturday sessions​​

Volunteer Positions
LOKi is accepting volunteers for our nature based enrichment and summer programs.
Enrichment programs are currently held on SATURDAY MORNINGS, and some weekdays. Summer camps are held Monday-Friday 9-3. Orientation, planning and training hours may be held on weekday evenings or a weekends.

Requirements:

MUST commit to consistent attendance for a 4-8 week session
-
Able to lift/carry items through the woods 1/2 mile, pull a loaded wagon, load and unload vehicle
-
Comfortable documenting with camera and/or iPhone camera
-
Comfortable interacting with parents and caregivers
-
Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
-
Must complete Livescan fingerprinting
-
Enjoy working with young children
-
Fast learner /self starter
-
Has own transportation

Organized
Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about foundational principles of inquiry and emergent based curriculum, nature based learning, pediatric occupational therapy, nature based occupational therapy, process art, observation skills, and early childhood sensory motor development. Volunteers will participate in setting up simple nature based play and art invitations, interact with children and families, document learning, and help with overall setup/organization of enrichment programs
