Maggie O'Reilly, OTR/L

Hi I'm Maggie, owner and founder of Live Oak Kids. I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, playing in the woods behind my house and climbing in the haystacks of my Dad's little red barn. I studied dance for most of my life and completed a Bachelor's degree in Modern Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh. I then fulfilled my dream of moving to California and have been living in the East Bay ever since.

After many years of teaching dance to young children, I decided to pursue my graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA.  I have been working as Pediatric Occupational Therapist since 2007, and have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, clinics, home-based and primarily school-based settings. In 2016, I had my daughter Maeve and have been even more motivated to provide accessible and engaging programming for children.

I specialize in early intervention services (ages 2-5) as well as sensory integration and oculomotor/vision rehabilitation interventions for children ages 2-12.

When not nerding out on child development books, you can find me wandering in the woods with my pup, re-organizing my garage, or trying to squeeze in a yoga session.
